A street preacher from Tennessee is facing potential arrest and imprisonment for posting Bible verses condemning homosexuality on social media over the next five years, as ordered by an Oklahoma court. Rich Penkoski, who leads the organization Warriors for Christ, has been accused of terrorizing and harassing LGBTQ leaders, though there is no evidence that he contacted or met them. This is just another LGBTQ abuse of the law.
The court order requires Penkoski to refrain from any conduct that might cause fear for their safety, including citing Bible verses they don’t like.
Penkoski’s supporters are standing up for him and making it clear that he has a First Amendment right to publicly express his concerns about moral issues without being accused of stalking or harassing others. He is asking the Oklahoma Supreme Court to overturn the restraining order.
