Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have joyfully announced the birth of their third child, a son named Ford. The couple, who already have daughters Lyla and Eloise, along with Chris’s son Jack from his previous marriage to Anna Faris, revealed the news of their growing family back in July. Katherine posted a photo on Instagram displaying her baby bump while wearing pink plaid maternity overalls.
The newest member of the family joins big sisters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 2, as well as Chris’s 12-year-old son Jack. Throughout the years, Pratt has shared insights into his journey as a father.
“They’re wonderful and adorable,” Chris told E! News in May. “They’re sweet, polite, kind, and joyful little angels, and I treasure them.”
He has focused on fostering his children’s confidence and self-expression, noting that his parenting style differs from how he was raised.
However, the 45-year-old actor admitted that adapting to being a father to daughters comes with its own set of challenges.
“They have me completely wrapped around their fingers. It’s incredible,” he mentioned in another May interview with E!. “While I hesitate to generalize, I’ve found that girls can be more emotional and prefer stories over wrestling.”
Fortunately, he has leaned on his “amazing” wife of five years for support. In a touching Instagram post for Mother’s Day 2024, he expressed his gratitude.
“Seeing you as a mother to Lyla and Eloise, and a stepmom to Jack, makes me fall more in love with you each day,” he wrote in the caption. “The endless tasks of organizing schedules, transporting the kids, nurturing them, managing activities, maintaining nutrition, setting boundaries, and showing patience and wisdom—it’s truly inspiring.”
