Our King came to earth to overcome so we could overcome in His name, and inherit His Kingdom citizenship. That’s the most amazing love story ever! His sacrifice was done for love, by love, and through love. That kinda love can’t be duplicated by anyone, because nobody loves us like God. Our adversary is just the opposite, he hates us with a furious passion; but he can’t defeat us because with the gift of God’s love, also automatically includes, strength, peace, joy, and hope — for eternity.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
Here’s a quick sermon on the victory we have when we were born again. Truly our second birth is when we really start living
No matter what happens, we know to stay with Christ everyday. The storms of life give us courage to march forward in His name, throughout our entire existence. That’s for eternity brothers and sisters, now that’s almost an unfathomable reality. So our problems truly only last for a blink of an eye; when compared to the reality of our eternal existence.
Jesus said in this life we would have tribulation. Everyday that statement proves true. But we can have peace — He has overcome the world in every possible way. Since He lives in you, you have that same power, no matter how [imperfect] you are. You’re never a lost cause, things will get better. You still have love, peace, joy, and strength in Jesus. Don’t let “Satan” fool you, his specialty is trickery, so you really gotta stay the course for real.
Even though Jesus overcame gloriously, His overcoming was never for Himself, but for you — for His followers. Each temptation, each difficulty, He overcame as it presented itself. We are suppose to do the same. The powers of evil were strained to their utmost to devise many means to break Him. Those evil powers do the same to us. God the father gives us the strength of Jesus because the Father loves us. Let this truly glorious fact fill your spirit. God bless you and yours brothers and sisters!
