Despite the fame and success that came from starring in “Hercules” and “God’s Not Dead,” actor Kevin Sorbo has never wavered from the Christian faith instilled in him during his childhood.
Raised by second-generation Norwegian parents near Lake Minnetonka, just 20 miles from Minneapolis, Sorbo grew up in a loving Christian household. His mother is still alive at the age of 92, but he mourns the loss of his father, who passed away 12 years ago and was not only his best friend but also the best man at his wedding. During his teenage years, Sorbo was active in a youth group where the Bible was taught in a way that was relevant to his life.
A significant event at the age of 13 further deepened his faith, which he discusses in the video below.
