God’s peace is real and He promised us that it would sustain us in times of trouble. And it truly does! Peace is not the absence of trouble. Peace is standing in the middle of your storm and choosing to be still and not panic. You choose to trust God. You choose to be at peace.
Psalm 28:7 – “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
With everything going on we can see it’s the unbelievers that are scared, unhinged, and have no peace in them. Be thankful to God that you have His weapon of peace. The best way to use this weapon is to give peace to others. If we don’t do that, we’re not using it to its full potential. “For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.” – Isa. 54:10
We have a Mighty Good God, and He is worthy of all our praise! If we didn’t know God’s word, we’d be just as fearful and unhinged as the unbelievers. That’s why it’s important for us to introduce them to His goodness and sustaining word. They’re bombarded with lies and fear mongering from the media, politicians, and false agenda scientists. They don’t even know how truly Awesome and Good our God is.
We as believers have a solid foundation for our peace. We have a confidence in Jesus that can’t be understood by unbelievers. Jesus said He gave us peace, and it’s in times such as these that proves Him true. The peace of Jesus never fails.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27
That peace that comes from Jesus isn’t PROVEN in good times. Anyone can have peace when things are just great. It’s proven when so many things are going haywire, like they are now. God is in control and knowing that gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding.
So remember, hold on to the weapon of peace. It’s not just an awesome gift, it’s also a weapon. We need it to maintain a healthy, mind, body, and soul.
“And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace.” – Isa 54:13
It’s very important to teach the youth about God and the weapons He’s given them. He wants the best for them, and they can have the most fun, fulfilling and peaceful life with God. They need Him much more than they know. God bless you and yours Brothers and Sisters!
