If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ, you have power and blessings that non-believers don’t have. Jesus said, “God causes the sun to rise on the just and unjust.” We know this is true; but however, the sun is an equal “material” blessing. Spiritual blessings are not equal. The spiritual blessings of: The Holy Spirit, strength, love, peace, faith, hope and more. Those are [reserved] for believers in a very “abundant” way.
Mat 5:45 – That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
God can send rain and sunshine and money and worldly blessings equally to both, but of the blessing of the Kingdom that would be impossible. Rejoice in the fact that you are His. The privileges of the “members” of His Kingdom are many. And they replenish as we go forward so, there’s no running out. That’s a real power that we can all have — and moreover, Jesus chose us above all others to give it to.
John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
God seems to have conditions that control the bestowal of these. His followers do not always understand this, it’s necessary that we should, if we consider His injunction which followed — “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” So be Holy and walk in Love — don’t dwell in sin. Our walk with God is what determines the conditions of the bountiful blessings that are meant only for us.
To attempt to bestow on all alike your Love and Understanding and interchange of thought would be impossible. But temporal blessings we too bestow, as does our Heavenly Father; all must be done in Love and in the spirit of true forgiveness.
The absolute best blessing we’ve been freely given by God in my opinion, is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Nothing is better than that; in fact, how would we receive any other spiritual blessing without Him. The Holy Spirit is a He, not an it. He is the ultimate guide through every aspect of life.
John 16:13 – “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
