God Told Us Not To Fear: Bible Verses About Fear

Fear is the most common form of sin. Yes I called fear a sin — because it is. It will creep up within all of us sometimes but, we have to boldly stand against fear. “Fear not,” was a very common and continual command from God in the Old Testament. And of course, Jesus said it many times in the New Testament. When we Love God, it’s easier to Trust Him. To God, there’s nothing better than a soul that Trusts Him Fully! That will always be that way. Because, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Even if your life is filled with unstable, unreliable, undependable people, you have one Source in your life that is constant; your God!

Here are some Bible verses against fear. These verses are going to give you courage, because that’s what God put them in the Bible for. Be encouraged by the promises of God — spoken straight from the Mouth of the Almighty Living God!

Isaiah 41:13 — “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Isaiah 51:12 – “I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;”

Deut 31:6 – “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Deut 31:8 – And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Deut 3:22 – Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

These next two verses are intriguing because the prophet Elisha could see the multitude of protection that God had protecting them.

2 Kings 6:16 – And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

2 Kings 6:17 – And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

2 Chr 20:17 – Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Isa 35:4 – Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isa 41:13 – For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Isa 41:14 – Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Zep 3:17 – The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

So, as you can see Patriots, these verses spoken from the mouth of God tells us not to fear. He will always be with us. GOD never sends you into a situation alone. GOD goes before you. He stands beside you. He walks behind you. Whatever situation you have right now be confident — GOD is with you! God bless you and yours Brothers and Sisters!
