Always raise your eyes from earth’s sordid and mean people. Their lives are [perpetually] false and greedy. Look to the Hills of the Lord; from poverty lift your eyes to the Help of a “Mighty God” whose love and blessings are going to raise you up. It is not God’s will for us to be anxious or saddened every time we have a problem. Jesus died to give us a new way of living, and His goal for us is to have peace. Trust His plan and His timing! When we aren’t able to see the next step, know that God already has it planned and in progress.
“Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.” —Psalm 54:4
In moments of weakness, lift your eyes to the Hills of the Lord. God is the giver of strength; He knows you need His strength everyday. As He gives you strength He expects you to give hope and strength to others; this is how you prove your Love for Him — God helps those who “love” Him, and keeps them safe. If and when you decide to make a difference in the world, then God will make up the difference where you are weak; you have to believe in yourself, even if you only believe in “yourself” because you know God believes in you.
“For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.” – Psalm 54:7
We often look at the now and don’t [consider] the blessing of the future; train your sight by constantly getting this long view. Train it to see more and more, further and further — until distant peaks seem familiar. God’s plan is constant training. If you’re reading this, you’re already in God’s plan. He always gives more than enough help to His people; we just don’t realize it.
“But the Lord GOD helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.” – Isa 50:7
So, for all your spiritual needs, look to the Lord, who made Heaven; and for all your temporal needs look to God — the Creator and Owner of all the riches on Earth. God bless you and yours Brothers and Sisters!
